With the Original Game such a hit, even though it was set during the controversial "prequels", the sequel featuring the Original Trilogy was destined to be a massive hit, and it didnt dissapoint.
Like the first one, you play as some of your favourite star wars characters and replay the storyline, but with a twist, everything is made out of Lego bricks. As you prgoress through the storyline you get humorous cut-scenes to make the game have a much lighter and fun atmosphere.
But dont think its exactly same with a new storyline. The developers have added in heaps of new content including:
- Special Melee attacks - eg Chewie can rip off enemies arms
- Free roaming vehicles
- Bounty Hunter missions
- Custom Characters - Create your own unique character by using parts of others
- Use old save - If you have kept your old save from the previous game, you can use the older characters.
- New Dodges - Due to the fact that most of the Jedi are extinct at this point in the Star Wars timeline, they had to add a way for non-lightsaber users to defend themselves against enemy fire
- Adaptive Difficulty - The game will automatically adjust the difficulty to suit the player
Overall an improvement to the original, though they plan to release a new version of the game called Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga which is due for release at the end of the year. It will be a combination of both the first and second games with new levels and characters, as well as updating the original game to include the stuff of the Original.
My rating: 5/5
