The next wave of Star Wars stuff is here! Titled Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Lucasarts is going to be releasing its next multimedia project mid 2008. It will spand games, comics, a novel, and role playing game, and a toyline by Hasbro

Playstation 3 is it worth it???

Since the media release of the new Grand Theft Auto series game GTAIV, i have been debating whether or not i should buy the Playstation 3. When GTA3 was released on the Playstation 2 i had bought the game before owning the console, and used to go over my cousins house, who already had the PS2, to play it. And unfortunately no one i know has the new Playstation 3...

In my blog not too long ago about choosing which console to buy (Found here: Link ) I said that the PS3 was only worth it if money was not a problem. The current game line up could not justify buying one and the backwards compatibility issues with the Australian Models meant that alot of my old games were having troubles on the new system. Since then i have found out that most of the games had been fixed with patches found on the internet or included in the newest released games

Future Look: 2Moons

New Kids on the MMO block, Acclaim, are taking a Korean MMORPG, Dekaron, and adapting it for the North American Market under the name of 2Moons.

One of the things that have really caught my eye about this game is that its Free! And to pay for the "free-ness" they have included in in-game advertisements, which can be toggled on and off. Another interesting feature is a built in MP3 player so you can play your own track list while playing

Star Trek Online

It was only a matter of time till one of the largest and most popular franchise became a Massively Multiplayer Online game. Announced in September 2004, Perpeptual Entertainment was given the rights to develop with plans for a final release date at the end of 2008 (Probably just in time for Christmas).

Players will be able to move up the ranks, from a cadet at the Acedemy all the way to Admiral, all within departments straight from the TV Shows and Movies. Engineering, Science and Tactical/Security are the main mandatory departments you have to choose from, and from there you specialise in other famous professions like medical, helm control, operations etc. Later on in the game players can choose to branch out to a Command tree, which will ultimately lead to being Captain of a starship

One of the most debated of subjects in console gaming is which console to actually buy. Since the mainstream consoles began to be released, consumers have had to choose which one they wanted. Which back in the day of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Master System (SMS) and the Atari 7800 really meant what games you wanted to play unlike todays consoles where you can buy certain games on any of them.

Nicknamed the Third Generation of Consoles, the NES, SMS and 7800 were the rebirth of the home gaming consoles. During 1983 the whole Video Game Industry crashed, with several of the First and Second Generation console making companies companies going into bankruptcy. It wasnt until the NES was released in 1985 (In America) that the gap between the generations ended

Civilization Revolution

Recently announced is the latest game in the Civilization Series.

Due in Spring 2008, the new version of the series will be for currently: X-Box 360, Playstation 3, PSP and Nintendo DS. Whether or not there will be a PC version of the game is yet to be revealed
